On the way to a job I saw this truck cruising down the road and it reminded me of the above quote...

I heard someone quote MLK as saying, "Look towards your hopes not your fears." 

It's a motivating outlook, particularly now, but I have not been able to find that quote amongst his many inspiring words... nonetheless it is one that I keep in memory...

While waiting for a job to begin yesterday I saw Anand playing with his grandson. Anand is a very nice guy and it seemed like him and his grandson who is visiting from Australia were having a lot of fun.

During the job Good Ol' Joe was cool enough to pose for a few seconds with a gutted fish... Joe knows fish...

It was great to work with Nancy again who is an Art Director and teacher at Pratt... I would have loved to have taken one of her classes because I imagine that it is very exciting, creative and productive. 

sometimes the moment is subtle and quiet... sometimes it's loud and abrupt....

This guy shared his moment with everyone... He sang some songs well and loud and sang some not so well and loud, but he enjoyed himself... I say sing louder! Enjoy yourself... Live it up!

I came across this guy taking it easy and thought he had a good idea. He said he had a long day and my guess is he worked hard and took a well deserved break. I don't know if I deserved a break, but decided I would make time for one... 

Sometime later in the day I wandered over to Central Park and relaxed under a familiar tree in a spot that has treated me well over the years and just took it easy...

The big question...

Had a few moments to kill while waiting for a job the other day and so I took a key off the keychain and started to draw it... 

It really got me thinking... made me think about life's big picture and the meaning of it... I asked myself a tough question... a meaningful one that is open-ended... one I have not asked myself before... The fear of the possible answer makes me want to leave it unanswered, but I've gotta ask it!

What is this key for? 

I have no idea why I have this key... 

It's small so maybe it's for a mailbox, but I don't have a key lock mailbox... My lock I use at the gym is small, but it's a combination lock... Can't be for a garage door, I don't have a garage... Well I'll hold onto it and continue to ponder why it exists in my possession...

On the way home...

Ran into these cool dudes on the way home... they went hard... took their licks... got up and tried it again... whether failed or succeeded they kept going...

Waiting to pickup a friend at the airport...

As expected my buddy's flight was delayed and I had time to kill... grabbed a book, pen and napkin and waited...
